Living Room — Amber C. Morales

As the entry point to this 8,000-square-foot, three-story coastal residence in New Smyrna Beach, this space was designed to create a memorable first impression while establishing the design language for the entire home. The dramatic floating staircase, featuring mixed-tone wood treads, black steel stringers, and frameless glass railings, serves as both a functional element and an architectural focal point.

Adjacent to the staircase, a climate-controlled glass wine room and a floor-to-ceiling modern fireplace clad in textured black tile introduce layers of sophistication and visual interest. These bold architectural features are balanced with casual coastal furnishings, warm wood tones, organic textures, and soft neutral fabrics that invite guests to relax from the moment they enter.

Because this area flows directly into the great room, the design team carefully curated every finish, material, and furnishing to create a seamless connection between the home’s public spaces. Rather than allowing the expansive floor plan to feel disconnected, each element was selected to reinforce a sense of continuity, warmth, and effortless luxury.

The result is a welcoming environment that is equally suited for entertaining and everyday living, one that captures the relaxed spirit of coastal Florida while delivering the timeless elegance and thoughtful detailing that define every A.Clore Interiors project.
